Chinese Spinach

Latin name: Amaranthus gangeticus
Packaging: – 1.5g
Chinese Spinach, also called red amaranth, is a heat-tolerant leafy vegetable with a mild flavor reminiscent of spinach, but with a more delicate note. Both the leaves and the young stems are edible and go well in hot dishes or lightly cooked in a wok.

Cultivation information:

  • Sowing time: March to the end of July, directly in open ground

  • Row spacing: 5 cm

  • Plant distance: 25 cm

  • Harvest: When the plant is about 25 cm tall. Cut just above the ground to allow for regrowth.

Can be harvested several times during the season. Excellent for cooking, especially in Asian dishes.
