Sprouted seeds - Adzuki beans

Latin name: Vigna angularis

Adzuki beans are protein-rich and easily digestible sprouted seeds with a mild, nutty flavor and crunchy texture. They are easy to grow and an excellent addition to salads, stir-fries, soups and sandwiches. Sprouted adzuki beans are nutritious and rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Cultivation information:

  • Packaging: 40 g seeds
  • Soaking: 8–12 hours
  • Germination time: 3–5 days
  • Rinsing: 2–3 times daily
  • Temperature: 18–22°C
  • Location: Dark for the first few days, then light for greener sprouts

This is how you sprout:

  1. Rinse the seeds thoroughly and soak them in cold water for 8–12 hours.
  2. Pour off the water and rinse the seeds. Place them in a germination jar or tray.
  3. Rinse 2–3 times daily and let the water drain well.
  4. After 3–5 days, the sprouts are ready to eat.

Use: Perfect in salads, wok, soups and as a side dish.

Adzuki beans are easy to grow at home and provide a nutritious and healthy harvest of fresh sprouts all year round. Store the sprouts in the refrigerator and eat within a few days for the best taste and nutrition.
