Edamame – Hokkai Green (soybean)
Glycine max – 50g

Hokkai Green is a new, compact edamame variety from Japan with large, plump pods and a delicate flavour. The variety is mid-early and stable with high yields – especially developed for fresh consumption before the beans have had time to harden. An excellent choice for both home gardens and small-scale cultivation.

The plants grow to about 50 cm tall and thrive best in a sunny, warm location. For optimal harvest, inoculation with Rhizobium bacteria is recommended, which improves nitrogen uptake and increases harvest. (Suitable vaccines are available under article number "zz01" or "soy vaccine".)
