Description:
Limba is a very early broccoli variety suitable for summer and autumn cultivation. It produces compact, bright green flower heads and is resistant to stemming. Perfect for fresh consumption after harvest, short-term storage and freezing.

How to grow Broccoli - Limba from seed
Pre-cultivation in greenhouse
- Sowing depth: 0.5 cm.
- Sowing time: February – April.

Sowing instructions:
- Sow the seeds in seed boxes or small pots with nutritious, well-drained soil.
- Place in a bright and cool area with a temperature of 15-20°C.
- Keep the soil moist but not wet.
Direct sowing outdoors
- Sowing depth: 0.5 cm.
- Sowing time: May – June.
- Location: Choose a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil.
Planting out seedlings
- Planting time: 15 May – June.
- Plant spacing: 50 cm between plants and 50 cm between rows.

- Improve the soil with compost or well-rotted manure before planting.
Care and maintenance

- Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry periods.

Fertilization:
- Add a nitrogen-rich fertilizer regularly to support growth.

- Protect the plants against pests such as the caterpillars of the cabbage moth with nets or biological pesticides.
Harvest
- Harvest period: July – September.

Harvest tips:
- Harvest the head when it is compact and before the small buds begin to open.
- Cut off the head with a few centimeters of the stem and let the plant continue to produce smaller side buds for additional harvest.
- Ideal for both fresh dishes and winter storage!
