Artichoke – Imperial Star
Cynara scolymus – 1.25g
A vigorous variety with dark green leaves and broad white veins. The plant develops round flower buds that are harvested before they open – delicious both cooked and gratinated. The flowers usually appear in the second year, but if sown very early you can get a harvest already in the first season.
