Latin name: Melothria scabra Naudin
Jungle cucumber, also known as Mexican mini cucumber or cucamelon , is a climbing and high-yielding variety that produces small, oval fruits with a striped skin. The fruits resemble small watermelons and have a crunchy texture with a fresh taste reminiscent of cucumber with a slight citrusy tartness. Perfect for salads, pickling or as a snack.
