Snapdragon 'Defiance'

Latin name: Antirrhinum majus

Snapdragon 'Defiance' is a magnificent variety with deep red, velvety flowers and an upright, vigorous habit. It blooms profusely from early summer to autumn and is excellent for borders, pots and as a cut flower in bouquets.

  • Sowing time: February–April (pre-cultivation) or May (direct sowing)
  • Flowering time: June–October
  • Sowing depth: Surface sowing, press lightly against the soil but do not cover
  • Plant distance: 20–30 cm

  • Location: Sun to partial shade
  • Soil type: Nutritious, well-drained and slightly moist soil
  • Watering: Regular, tolerates some drought
