Thai basil – 'Siam Queen'
Ocimum basilicum

An annual herb with a strong basil and anise flavour , essential in Thai and Southeast Asian cooking . 'Siam Queen' is used fresh in large quantities in curries, soups and noodle dishes – an aromatic highlight with purple stems and decorative leaves .

Grows best in a sunny position and needs regular topping to become dense and vigorous. Remove flower buds to extend the harvest period. An easy-to-grow and intensely fragrant basil that provides flavor all summer long!


Cultivation & Care:

  • Sowing period: March–April (indoors in mini greenhouse)

  • Do not cover the seeds: Light germination – gently spray over the sowing

  • Germination time: 10–15 days, preferably close together

  • Planting out: When the risk of night frost is over

  • Harvest: July–August (or longer with regular harvesting and bud removal)

  • Growth habit: Freestanding and bushy

  • Height: approx. 25 cm

  • Plant distance: 20 cm

  • Row spacing: 20 cm

Answer: Unfortunately, live plants cannot be returned due to their sensitivity and because they are fresh produce.
