Foeniculum vulgare

An organic fennel variety that produces medium-sized, juicy tubers with a mild aniseed flavor – perfect for using raw in salads, cooked as a side dish , or shredded in soups and fish stews . The tubers can be stored cold for a few weeks after harvest, making it a sustainable choice for the kitchen garden.

This KRAV-labeled variety is grown with consideration for both the soil and the environment, and is just as suitable for pallet collars as for larger cultivations.

Cultivation & Care:

  • Sowing period: April–June

    • Pre-cultivation: Indoors in seedbed from March–April, sow shallow and keep moist

    • Direct sowing: Possible when soil temperature exceeds 10 °C

  • Transplanting: When the risk of frost is over
