    Poppy 'Hen & Chickens'

    Latin name: Papaver somniferum L.

    Poppy 'Hen & Chickens' is a unique and decorative variety of opium poppy that develops large, beautiful flowers in soft shades, followed by characteristic seed pods where a larger pod ("hen") is surrounded by several smaller pods ("chickens"). The seed pods are excellent for dried arrangements and decoration.
