Spanish pepper - Corno di Toro Rosso

Description:
Spanish pepper "Corno di Toro Rosso" is a very popular, long and bellied pepper variety characterized by its deep red, fleshy fruits. This variety has a sweet, mild flavor that makes it perfect for both fresh use in salads and for cooking. It is also an excellent choice for pickling or as a filling in various dishes. The plant produces an abundant harvest of fruits that are elongated, reminiscent of a bull's horn (hence the name "Corno di Toro"), and are known for their high quality.

Sowing instructions

Sowing depth: 0.5 cm

  • Pre-cultivation: Pre-cultivate seeds in a greenhouse or indoors from February to March to give the plants a good start.
  • Direct sowing: Sow seeds directly outdoors from late April to May, when the soil has warmed and the risk of frost is over.
  • Plant spacing: 40 x 40 cm to give the plants enough space to grow.

Harvest

  • Harvest time: July – September
  • Harvest the fruits when they are fully red and have reached their maximum size for best flavor and quality.
