Latin name: Satureja hortensis L.
Summer savory is an aromatic herb with a spicy, slightly peppery flavor reminiscent of a mix of thyme and mint. It is often used in gourmet cooking, especially in stews, soups, legumes and meat dishes. The leaves can be used both fresh and dried.
