Sugar Pea Hetman
Description:
Sugar pea Hetman is an early and robust snap pea that develops large, juicy pods. Sugar pea Hetman can be eaten whole, including the seeds, when the pods are young and tender. This variety is particularly popular because you can eat the whole pod without having to peel or remove the seeds. When the pods are young, both the pod and the seeds are crunchy and sweet, making them perfect for eating raw in salads or as a snack.

One package contains 50 g of seeds , which corresponds to approximately 300 seeds. (+/- 20%)
Sowing instructions
Sowing depth: 2–3 cm
- Pre-cultivation: Pre-cultivate in a greenhouse from March to April to get an early harvest.
- Direct sowing: Sow seeds directly outdoors from April to June when the soil has warmed and the risk of frost is over.
- Plant distance: 40–50 x 5–10 cm to give the plants good air circulation and optimal growing conditions.
Harvest
- Harvest time: June – August
- Harvest when pods are young and tender textured for best flavor. Hetman gives a good and long harvest season if it is managed properly.
