Salad basil

Latin name: Ocimum basilicum

Salad basil is a large-leaved, mild-tasting basil with broad, soft leaves and a fresh, sweet and aromatic flavour. The leaves are larger and juicier than regular basil, making it particularly suitable for salads, wraps and fresh dishes. It is an excellent substitute for lettuce or spinach in various dishes and has a milder flavour than classic basil.
