Artichoke 'Violet de Provence'
Latin name: Cynara scolymus L.
Artichoke 'Violet de Provence' is a decorative and flavorful French variety that develops beautiful, purple-tinged flower buds. It has a delicious nutty flavor and a soft texture, perfect for steaming, grilling or roasting in the oven. The plant is perennial in mild climates but is most often grown as an annual in cooler areas.
