How to grow Tomato Venus from seed

-
Sowing instructions:
- Sow the seeds in pots or plug trays with seed soil.
- Cover the seeds lightly with soil and water gently.
- Place the seed in a warm place, preferably at 22-25 °C, to achieve optimal germination.
Planting out seedlings
- Planting time: May 15 (when the risk of frost is over).
-
Investment:
- Choose a sunny and sheltered location for best results.
- Prepare the soil with compost or cow manure for a nutrient-rich growing area.
-
Plant distance:
- 30–40 cm between the plants.
- 50–60 cm between rows.
Care and maintenance
-
Watering:
- Keep the soil evenly moist, but avoid overwatering.
-
Fertilization:
- Use a nutrient-dense, high-potassium fertilizer to support fruit set.
-
Support:
- As this is a bushy variety, it does not require much support, but if necessary, the plants can be tied up to prevent them from falling over.
-
Theft:
- Potted tomatoes usually don't need to be weeded, but if you see any side shoots, you can remove these for better air circulation.
Harvest
- Harvest period: July – October.
-
Harvest tips:
- Harvest the fruits when they are fully ripe and have a deep, brilliant orange color.
- Harvest carefully by cutting off the berries with secateurs or a sharp knife.
Tomato Venus is a perfect tomato for the balcony or terrace and an excellent variety for those who want a beautiful and productive plant with small, sweet tomatoes for fresh consumption.
